Depress the button on the pin to remove and lower the frame. Fill with your chosen forage. Push the nest back in place against the wall. Secure the pin in place and you're all done!

Safe by design, the Hay Nest fastens flush to the wall — because we know that anything protruding in the stable can cause an injury. Unlike other designs on the market, our Hay Nest has been developed by industry experts with decades of experience, helping us to problem-solve and create the safest product possible.

We recommend using small cable ties to secure the net to the frame. In the unlikely event of a horse becoming caught in the net, the cable ties will snap and free the horse immediately.

The Science behind the design

Horses are natural trickle feeders, evolved to spend up to 16 hours a day grazing little and often. When hay is fed on the floor or in a traditional net, most horses can consume a full ration in 2-3 hours -leaving long stretches without forage that trigger stress, boredom and, over time, gastric ulcers. The Hay Nest slows intake to a natural pace, reducing floor feeding waste from 15% down to just 2%, keeping your horse calmer, healthier and more settled throughout the day!

Rebekkah

Meet Rebekah Hemmings — a lifelong equestrian whose passion for horses began at just four years old. Now 32, Rebekah shares her life with three much-loved equine companions: Harvey, Rupert Boy, and Bunny Boru. Her journey started with Harvey, a cheeky New Forest pony she’s owned for 18 years, who now enjoys a quieter life doing the occasional fun ride or hacking around Newstead Abbey — often making a pit stop at the pub or the local ice cream van. Rupert Boy, an ex-racehorse she brought home straight off the track as a 4-year-old, has become her trusted partner in showing and dressage. He’s also the proud Horses for Courses Ambassador for Nottingham Racecourse, a role supported by The Jockey Club to showcase the potential of life after racing. Completing the trio is Bunny Boru, the newest addition to the yard, who excels in dressage and pleasure rides — with exciting plans to start show jumping very soon. Through every discipline and adventure, Rebekah’s love for her horses and dedication to their care shines brightly.

Rebekah is really excited to be one of the product testers for Parallax Equestrian. With three different horses in her care, she’s looking forward to providing well rounded, honest feedback across a range of products - from seasoned veterans to up and coming talent.

Lauren

Welcome to the team @laurens.ponios and 8 year old ex racehorse River. Lauren has loved horses her whole life and now enjoys exploring the countryside together with River. Lauren is always looking for ways to enrich Rivers life through new products or methods and is excited to start using the Hay Nest as a hay net alternative to save time and effort at the yard.

Elaine

Elaine started riding when she was 3 years old but it wasn’t until she turned 31 that she fulfilled her dream of owning her own horse. Cracker came along at the most unexpected time but was the best thing ever! She’s 17.2h and 826kg of unconditional love! Elaine has welcomed little Alfie to the family this year so and have a real little and large!! Elaine said “I am super excited to join the team and can’t wait to share how we get on with the new Hay Nest!!”
