The Hay Nest is a wall-mounted slow feeder that makes stable feeding faster, cleaner and better for your horse. Fill it in seconds, hang it flush against the wall, and let your horse eat at the natural pace nature intended - saving up to 438kg of hay per horse each year. Available in three net sizes to suit every horse, from native ponies to thoroughbreds in hard work.

Depress the button on the pin to remove and lower the frame. Fill with your chosen forage. Push the nest back in place against the wall. Secure the pin in place and you're all done!
Safe by design, the Hay Nest fastens flush to the wall — because we know that anything protruding in the stable can cause an injury. Unlike other designs on the market, our Hay Nest has been developed by industry experts with decades of experience, helping us to problem-solve and create the safest product possible.
We recommend using small cable ties to secure the net to the frame. In the unlikely event of a horse becoming caught in the net, the cable ties will snap and free the horse immediately.
The Science behind the design
Horses are natural trickle feeders, evolved to spend up to 16 hours a day grazing little and often. When hay is fed on the floor or in a traditional net, most horses can consume a full ration in 2-3 hours -leaving long stretches without forage that trigger stress, boredom and, over time, gastric ulcers. The Hay Nest slows intake to a natural pace, reducing floor feeding waste from 15% down to just 2%, keeping your horse calmer, healthier and more settled throughout the day!
